Childbirth Classes

As a parent, you'll be tasked again and again with determining what's best for your baby, and for you. As you approach labor and birth, getting informed about all the choices that are yours to make can help you feel prepared to determine what your version of "best" is.

Once you know what you want, Bradley® Method Natural Childbirth classes will help you develop the skills, mindset, and coping strategies you'll need to reach your goals. Bradley® Method classes are appropriate for couples planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth.

During class, you'll learn how nutrition, exercise, and the avoidance of unnecessary medication and intervention during pregnancy and labor can help you stay healthy and ensure that you have access to a full range of options. You'll also learn what you need to know to make choices that align with your goals and values, how working together as a couple serves to keep labor normal, and the breastfeeding and newborn care basics you'll need to feel confident after your baby arrives.

Classes meet weekly for 10 weeks and are offered regularly in Fort MIll and Charlotte.

REGISTRATION & COST: A $50.00 deposit secures your place in class and is applied to the total class fee of $450.00 per couple. The class fee includes a student workbook, a resource binder full of relavent articles and information, and all your class materials. Payment plans are available by request and with good communication.

Doula Services

Continuous doula support during labor can have profound benefits, especially when you’re planning to birth in the hospital. Mothers who have continuous, hands-on support are more likely to have a natural, spontaneous vaginal birth and are less likely to have an epidural, receive pitocin, or have a cesarean section. No matter what your goals for birth are, having a doula to walk alongside you through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum days can help you feel supported, empowered, and satisfied with your birth experience.

INCLUDES:

Free Consultation: Ask questions, learn more about doula support, and decide what's right for you.

Two Prenatal Visits: Time together to discuss your preferences and make a plan to help you reach your goals.

Text/Phone Support: Reach out at any time during your pregnancy or once your baby arrives to ask questions, share updates, or request resources.

Hands-On Labor Support: Continual physical, emotional, and informational support during your labor and birth; from when you call until after your golden hour.

1 In-Home Postpartum Visit: Time together within the first week after birth to offer lactation support, answer questions, and assist with any early postpartum needs.
