"My experience with Jen as my midwife was nothing short of amazing! We were SO pleased with how everything went from my prenatal care, to the delivery, to our postnatal care. My husband and I knew we wanted a homebirth, but of course had some concerns. Jen was so kind about answering all of my questions regarding my concerns, ultimately leading us towards being very excited and comfortable with birthing our baby at home! The care Jen gave me during my pregnancy was so warm and compassionate. She gave me tons of resources to help me prepare physically and mentally for bringing our baby into the world. I always left our appointments feeling so cared for. Once we made it to my due date, we stayed in constant communication which made me feel good knowing she was ready for me whenever baby decided he was ready to come. When labor started she made it very clear that she was willing to come whenever I felt ready for her to be there. She reaffirmed to me many times during labor that I was doing so great which I needed the positive affirmations to make it through. She made me feel like I was doing great the entire time and stayed so positive. She directed me so well offering new positions to try when I would get uncomfortable. Jen is so knowledgeable and knew exactly what my body was doing and what stage of labor I was in without even having to check my cervix. I knew I didn’t want cervical checks. Once baby made his arrival she made sure nothing was rushed. She got baby and me in bed and gave us time to nurse and have skin to skin. Our birth was such an amazing experience and I am so thankful to have had Jen there to support us! Honestly the best part of all the care with Jen has been our postpartum visits. Postpartum life is tricky, but she made it a priority to come over and check on baby and me within 36 hours of delivery, 3 days after, a week after, 2 week, 3 weeks, and then offered to continue coming each week or wait until our 6 week appointment. She’s given me so much great advice since baby has been here and always reminds me that she is just a text message or phone call away. I could not have asked for a better home birthing experience! I am so pleased with how everything went and wish I could convince everyone I know to birth at home with Jen! If we are lucky enough, we hope to birth ALL of our babies at home with Jen!" - Morgan
"My personal experience with Jen made my home birth feel so "normal." We’ve known each other for a little over 4 years now, and she supported me through the other pregnancies as a Bradley instructor for my first and doula for my natural twin delivery. We built an organic relationship from the very beginning and I knew she would be my forever support person. She has always been there for me. She’s the epitome of support. I can call her with any question or concern and she has the answer! She’s a wealth of knowledge and takes all necessary safety precautions. When I fell off track with my nutrition, which happened often, she always knew and would politely remind me what my goals were and why I needed to stay healthy. Every time I doubted myself, she talked me through my fears and reminded me how strong I am. She was everything I needed in the toughest, most beautiful times of my life. When I went into labor I had not an ounce of fear in my heart because I knew I was in good hands. I felt empowered. I felt safe. Most of all I felt loved and well cared for.
Many people say “You’re a rockstar. I could never have a home birth" as if it was something that has never been done before. Modern day midwifery is safe. Low risk home birth is safe. The connection between you and your midwife will really make a difference.
I'm officially done having babies but if for some weird reason I end up pregnant again, I'd choose Jennifer over and over and over again ❤️" - Teyneil
"We are so grateful that we took the Bradley Method course with you. You are educated and passionate about pregnancy and birth, and gave as much information as you possibly could during classes. You made me believe even more that it was possible for me to give birth naturally without sugar coating it. The Bradley Method is definitely the way to go for childbirth if a natural birth is a preference - it gave the resources to empower my husband to take ownership of his role in bringing our daughter into this world and it was because of him that I had more strength to make it through labors naturally - and I would highly recommend any of my loved ones to take the course with you. Thank you so much!" -Jessie
"Before I took the Bradley class with Jen, I knew I wanted a natural birth but didn’t know how to achieve one. Taking the class gave me realistic tactics to allow me to execute my birth plan the way I knew I wanted it. It gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to go through with a 100% unmedicated birth. If it wasn’t for Jen and my husband Dillon, I don’t believe I would have been able to accomplish a natural birth. For that I am eternally grateful to both of them." -Courtney
"I was a client of Jen's as she was completing her training for her midwifery certification. When I had concerns throughout my pregnancy, I knew I could contact her as she was very knowledgeable and punctual with her responses. She was very patient and comforting with my husband and me during all of our encounters. There was a big difference in the care I received with Jen vs. with my previous OB/GYN. She took the time to help me understand my body and the over all pregnancy/birthing process by providing individualized care. She was really attentive to more than just my physical well being. She focused on my mental and emotional well being as well. I felt safe during labor and deliver. Even with this being my 3rd delivery, I learned a lot from Jen! If we ever get pregnant again, I would want her along side of us. Thank you for delivering our healthy baby boy!" - Quinn
"I am forever grateful for the knowledge that my husband and I obtained in the Bradley class. If I had walked into that hospital without the knowledge I am convinced that I would have been talked into having a cesarean delivery. The fact that my husband was able to advocate for me while I was in labor with his knowledge base made all of the difference in the world. After our baby was born the nurse told me that we were the only ones that were able to have a birth without an epidural that day! I know that the Bradley class helped keep my baby strong enough to withstand that many hours of labor. At 3 weeks early his only setback was jaundice, which was treated in the hospital." - Brittony
"In the Summer of 2017, my husband and I found out we were pregnant! Right away we knew we wanted the absolute BEST for this pregnancy and baby. We did a tremendous amount of research as far as pregnancy and birth, and knew that in order to have the perfect labor experience for us, we’d need a doula.
A friend of mine used a doula when she gave birth and I quickly got in touch with her to ask about her experience. She explained how she couldn’t have done it without Jen and that getting a doula and taking her birthing class was the best decision she and her husband made.
When we met with Jen, we knew immediately that she was exactly what we needed. Jen explained what a doula’s role is in pregnancy and birth, and she explained about the Bradley Method. For those of you who don’t know, The Bradley Method is a Husband-Coached natural child birthing method, which is what we wanted, but didn’t really know we wanted. We almost immediately emailed Jen after meeting with her to let her know that we’d love for her to be our doula and that we were definitely interested in the birthing classes.
When my friend said that they couldn’t have done it without her, she was right! While my husband was coaching me, Jen was there to help him. I looked to her whenever I had a question or needed reassurance. We were a team, the three of us. Yes, there was a midwife and a nurse, but I was positive that if it came down to it, the three of us could handle anything! After our son was born at 5:02 am, Jen stayed with us to ensure that we had everything we needed and even left to get us food. She was a Godsend, and I thank the Lord every day that we had her with us and took the birthing classes that prepared us for bringing him into the world!" - Paige
"We love Jen! You can tell that she enjoys what she does. Her Bradley classes are very informative, but not overwhelming. She welcomes discussion and questions, making room for everyone to feel comfortable. By the last class, my husband and I felt safe in our decision and well prepared for our homebirth.”- Hannah
"Drew and I are so grateful for the Bradley class and for YOU! Even though I didn’t end up having the intervention-free birth I was hoping for, we credit you and the Bradley class/method with helping me avoid a c-section and be a well-informed advocate for myself throughout labor and delivery. Your support after Evy’s birth was critical too - I am still breastfeeding and you were a huge part of keeping that going at a time when I felt really defeated and unsure of how to move forward with it. Thank you again for everything!" -MaryMargaret
